I thought the same but after talking to a bunch of installers its more of a judgement kinda deal. They are allowed to install remote start on a 5 speed its just it can come back to haunt them with a law suit if the car were to jump and hit something. Now if you install it with a switch that makes you have the car in nutral "turbo timer" then they will install it. They also produce remote starts for man trans. As for my starter issue it was just a battery problem with it not giving enough juice. Besides im buying a beater tonight to drive in the winter if everything checks out. So hopefully ill own a Honda civic with some cappy 1.6l sohc vtec by the end of the night. But hey its a beater thats all that matters as long as it gets me to my job and school ill be good to go.
